چکیده
The conference paper on this site describes metagenomic DNA sequencing of flowback water from hydraulic fracturing sites with the goal of determining the microbes present and their potential role in biodegradation. This patent describes a mannohydrolase from a ther-mophilic bacterium that will maintain activity of temperatures as high as 150 degrees centigrade. The FracFocus website contains information on chemical inputs into more 24,000 hydraulic fracturing wells. The information is provided voluntarily by industry. This article describes the wastewater generated in hydrof-racking. It details the components, some of the problems associated with the chemicals, and provides links to further information. This white paper discusses environmental aspects of methanol as a component of hydrofracking fluids. It concludes that methanol is unlikely to pose a health threat and is rapidly biodegraded by microorganisms. Microbial biocides in hydraulic fracturing http://wellservicingmagazine.com/

Numerical Modeling of Hydraulic Fracturing in Oil Sands
Hydraulic fracturing is a widely used and e cient technique for enhancing oil extraction from heavy oil sands deposits. Application of this technique has been extended from cemented rocks to uncemented materials, such as oil sands. Models, which have originally been developed for analyzing hydraulic fracturing in rocks, are in general not satisfactory for oil sands. This is due to a high leak-o...
متن کاملHydraulic Fracturing Length Optimization and its Impact on the Reservoir Performance
Hydraulic fracturing is one of the most common methods of well stimulation for reservoirs with low permeability. Hydraulic fracturing increases the flow capacity, alters flow geometry, bypasses damage and improves recovery factor. The pressure of most of Iranian oil reservoirs is declined and consequently the production is reduced. It is necessary to improve the production by using new stimulat...
متن کاملFeasibility Study of Network Hydraulic Fracture Applied to the Fissured Competent Sand Oil Reservoir
Chang 8 oil deposit, developed in Hohe and Jihe oil fields at the southern Yi-Shan Slop of Ordos Basin, is regarded as a kind of typical sand reservoir formation with super-low porosity, poor permeability, strong anisotropy as well as locally natural faults and fractures. The previous studies believed that matrix reservoir has a good permeability, whereas fracture reservoir has a reverse manner...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Hydraulic Frac-turing Process for an Iranian Gas Field in the Persian Gulf
Most of the Iranian oil and gas wells in the Persian Gulf region are producing through their natural productivity and, in the near future, the use of stimulation methods will be undoubtedly necessary. Hydraulic fracturing as a popular technique can be a stimulation candidate. Due to the absence of adequate research in this field, numerical simulation can be an appropriate method to investigate ...
متن کاملFracture Dynamic Propagation Model of High-Energy Gas Fracturing for Casing Perforated Well
The onshore oil and natural gas industries of China have started a large-scale development when crude oil reserves have been difficult to recover. The stratum fracture modification is an indispensable measure to efficiently develop oil and gas fields. Hydraulic fracturing is the most important reservoir stimulation technique, but it is still faced with various problems such as the failure to fr...
